BRP CHICANES

Chicanes are used to narrow wide residential streets and cause drivers to slow down. They can be used to enhance the environment and also provide protected on-street parking. Chicanes are more appropriate where heavier volumes occur or, for example, on bus routes. Chicanes can also be applied as thresholds to discourage entry into a road and thus keep through-traffic on main roads.

Specifications

  • Aggregate to COLTO specification.
  • Bitumen rubber spread rate variable in relation to aggregate size.

BRP LANE DIVERTERS

BRP Lane Diverters are two layer, audio devices designed to alert drivers to their position in the traffic lane and can be placed in conjunction with road-marking and signage in accident prone areas. The BRP Lane Diverters are flexible and therefore do not fracture or disintegrate over time or when installed on an uneven riding surface. BRP Lane Diverters may be resurfaced with the road chip sealing without loosing their effectiveness. The spacing of BRP Diverters is dependent on the location and specific requirement of the site.

(1 layer each of 333mm x 150mm and 250mm x 100mm pre-bonded together into one unit)

19.0mm choked with 9.5mm aggregate per 0.75 sq metre pre-bonded sheet
15 sheets per unit

BRP DELINEATOR: SINGLE

BRP Delineators are used as an audible warning. The single layer provides a texture change without forming significant raised surface.
